FREEFLYBALL brings the best moves of soccer, freestyle and basketball dynamics, in an exciting dispute where every ball player loves to play and every fan wants to cheer.
An aerial challenge, where the Soccer Best meets the NBA Greatness.
The Court
The game is played on a basketball-sized court (28m x 15m), divided into 4 rectangles.
The goals are rectangular orange frames suspended two meters above the ground. They measure 1.8 meters wide by 1 meter high. They are open at the front for the entry of the ball and hollow at the bottom for the return of the ball. The ball is footvolley #5.
The Court - points
The four rectangles define the value of the “flys” (1, 2, 3, and 4 points). The farther away the player shoots the ball, the higher the points scored.
The Teams
Two teams of 5 players try to score goals by bouncing and passing the ball in the air to each other. Like jugglers, the players use all parts of their bodies except their arms and hands.
The Moves
The players keep the ball bouncing in the air, moving it forward or passing it to each other, with 30 seconds to shoot and score a “fly.”
The League
In the National League, six teams face each other once. In total, there are 18 games, including 1 initial game and 7 weekly rounds with 2 games each (totaling 15 games), which will take place in 5 cities in the state of São Paulo in the first edition, with an additional 3 games for the final.
The total duration of the National League will be 3 months, following the annual sports calendar.
